The BIENVILLE PARISH LIBRARY is a public library that serves the people of Bienville Parish, Louisiana and surrounding areas.

The Library opened its doors as a "demonstration library" of the State Library of Louisiana in 1964. In 1972 a new library building was constructed at its current location on the old Courthouse Square. It has undergone numerous expansions and renovations through the years.

The Main Library, located at 2768 Maple Street in Arcadia, is home to the system's Administrative Offices, Technical & Computer Services, Interlibrary Loan, Children's Services and Outreach Services. It also houses the system's Genealogy Collection.

The Library also operates full-time branches in Ringgold and Saline, and a part-time branch in Castor. Information about each Library Branch, including pictures, location and hours of operation, can be found on our BRANCHES & HOURS page.
